The above photo showing the standard of overhaul work completed for both the coolant system and the Vacuum exhausters/pipework

The other side showing the same standard of workmanship

Just an overall view of the entire area, about 98% complete with a few small jobs required to make sure it is all air/water tight

Once the power unit was running (top gauge is water pressure and bottom gauge is oil pressure) this was taken only after 5 mins of running

Taken on the 1st Oct 2008 this was after a short test run and the loco shut down and parked up, overall we are 90% finished with the water system with mainly finishing parts left to do.
16th & 17th October 2008

A picture of Side B roof hatch after a few hours with a drill, tap wrench, cutting fluid and all other manner of tools, taken on 10th Oct

One of the easier new bellows to fit (according to Martin H) we obtained new material as the old stuff was quite a bit passed its sell by date.

Friday 17th October the final bellow is being fitted by myself and Martin H, I took a quick break to take this photo and the "top, underside" bellow both sides of the loco was a sod to fit.

Side B inside bellow, brand new material, new bolts and old retaining strips cleaned and painted some time ago. the workmanship is a high standard. It has taken some time to get there but well worth it in the long run.

The finished article completely rebuilt. Just a little touch up with the paintbrush and a quick inspection and greasing of the exhausters/radiator fan motors and some anti-freeze, but otherwise a through and excellent job.

If it wasn't for the sunlight beams it would of been an excellent photo. Taken 17th Oct 2008 final day of re-assembly of the cooler group.
