D5401 (27056) Cab No1 renovation continues slowly with various small item being removed and taken home for repair/repaint into the correct colour scheme, below is a few pictures showing the cab locker before & after, various fittings such as fire alarm test button, light switch, fire alarm bell and one of two air vents for the cab.
The bulkhead still requires rubbing down and painting but we are reaching the point where this is will be the only major outstanding task to do on this cab.
D5185 investigation and repair work on the persistant electrical fault continues the below photo was taken when the Class 25 was extracted from the 8 loco deep pile so it could be put over a pit for inspection to assertain the extent of the damage to TM No1.
