This was taken from cab of 26007 of Class 20 D8098 and Class 27 D5401 at Loughborough Yard during the April diesel event 2010

Even though a consideable amount of mechanical work has been undertaken other work has continued slowly on Cab No1 renovation. The secondman desk has been undercoated prior to top coating and re-assembly

Left: The "low hours" replacement turbocharger

Middle: Once the old turbocharger was removed

Right: Good efforts were made to degrease and paint the area where the turbocharger lives

It can just be seen, in the fore ground one group are attempting to remove the exhaust stack by applying hear to old studs and in the distance can be seen another group cleaning the last few surfaces ready for the units installation

These two pictures were taken some months aparts (actually 11 months)

Left : Is the day the intercooler core was replaced at Rothley Yard

Right: Was taken 2nd May 2010 after the replacement turbocharger was fitted
