Ex-British Railway Class 25 Cab    Closing date of bidding - February 20th 2010

This Class 25 cab is based on a Class 25/2 series and the known history of the item suggests it has never been used on a Class 25 locomotive during its life to date, its previous life (after BR) was in someones back garden! This cab is a shell and has no electrical, mechanical or air equipment fitted, although frame work exists for it to be fitted, also no window frames or glass is fitted. This cab does not include a cab floor or bulkhead, it is in superb condition with only minor welding work required around the cab door frame. It is currently painted in an external protective coat of BR blue and yellow, while the inside is untouched, with a cabside painted number from a long scrapped member of the Class 25 fleet.

The fibreglass roof section is also in superb condition and an expensive item to replace for new (should you ever require one) this roof has no headcode blind or air horn equipment fitted but can easily be installed. The sale includes two cab doors which are currently not attached. The nose end is flush welded and has no evidence to suggest it had working gangway doors.

The selling groups wish ideally for the cab to be sold to a locomotive owner/group for a working future use on a Class 25 locomotive where possible.

Please no TIME WASTERS and upon successful bidding the cab must be removed from its current location urgently with agreed arrangements by the selling group ONLY as the space is required for future developement.
